Pineapple Jelly and Pineapple Jam ( How To Make )

               Good day to you all and welcome back here today on Garden The Easy Way, this is Ken and Marilou.  

               Today we have special treat for every one that likes a little jelly or jam on their toast, and it is so very delicious and very easy to make, and if you have been following our blog, you probably already guess what kind it is.

               Today we are going to share with you all, how to make Pineapple Jam and Pineapple Jelly. It is so good!!!  ( ENJOY!!!)                      





                                                         **Pineapple Jam**  

 Ingredients:

2 lbs. crushed pineapple
1 1/2 lbs. sugar  
Cinnamon
Nutmeg        

Preparations:

1. Mix sugar and pineapple together.

2. Add other ingredients.  

3. Boil over slow heat until all of the liquid is absorbed, only a little syrup should be left with the jam to keep it moist.

                                                       **Pineapple Jelly**  

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
1/4 cup of lemon juice
4 1/2 cup of sugar    
1 bottle liquid fruit pectin    

Preparations:  

1. Measure pineapple juice and lemon juice into a large kettle; add sugar and mix well. Bring to boiling rapidly, stirring constantly. Stir in pectin and bring to a full  rolling boil; boil vigorously 1 minute, continuing to stir.  

2. Remove from heat; skim off any foam. Pour into hot sterilized jelly glasses; seal with melted paraffin. ( If jelly is to be used within 2 months, omit the paraffin.)

3. Cover glasses with lids, waxed paper, or aluminum foil, and store in refrigerator. Makes 7 ( 6 ounce ) glasses of jelly.
