Spanish Rice ( Homemade Recipe )

              Hello, we hope you all are having a good day today and welcome back here with us today on Garden The Easy Way, this is Ken and Marilou.      

               Today we would like to tell you all about  a good recipe. A good friend of  Marilou gave this recipe and we want to share it with you all. This recipe is one of our favorite, it is very tasty and it is a very good meal that everybody will love it. The name of this recipe is " Spanish Rice "    

               For our Spanish Rice, we need to make a tomato sauce first, and then the rice. For those of you out there that loves tomatoes, this is a good recipe that surely you will love.

TOMATO SAUCE

Ingredients:  

20 Ripe Tomatoes
1 Garlic clove  ( chopped )
1 Onion  ( chopped )
1 tbsp of Olive oil
1 tbsp of Butter

Preparation:  

1. Cut all the tomatoes in half and squeeze all tomatoes to take all the seeds out.  

2. After your done with the tomatoes, heat the oil and butter in the pan, saute the garlic and onions.

3. Then add all the tomatoes in the pan and cover it. Cook until it boil. Stir once in a while.

4. Add some salt and pepper to taste.  

5. Cook the tomatoes until the sauce become thick.


RICE:

Ingredients:  

Cooked Rice  ( 2 cups )
Tomato Sauce
1 garlic clove ( chopped )
1 Onion  ( chopped )
1 tbsp. of Olive oil
1 tbsp of Butter  

Preparation:  

1. In the pan, heat the oil and butter and saute the garlic and onion.

2. Add the cooked rice and stir with the garlic and onion.

3. Then pour out the tomato sauce  in the rice and mix them well. Cover the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes.

4. Serve while it's hot.  

Tips:   You can serve the Spanish Rice with any meal.  

Servings: 6-8 servings depending on the portion size.
