Preserve Vegetables

Hello we hope you all are having a good Sunday. Welcome back with us, on Garden The Easy Way this is Ken and Marilou.

The November cold weather here has killed all of our garden, so we have picked all of our tomatoes, and we had lots of buckets full of green tomatoes and lots of other vegetables. What we do is call our family and our close friends and ask them if they would like some fresh garden vegetables. Our green tomatoes we just lay them out on counter top and tables, after 3-5 days the tomatoes will turn red, and they are ready to eat. We have so many tomatoes, Marilou and I can not eat them all before they go bad, so what we do is wash them and let them dry and put them in a freezer bag, and put them in the freezer.

We have frozen, Tomatoes, Green beans, Cucumbers, Chopped Green Onions, Green bell Peppers, Butternut Squash, Hot Jalapeno Peppers.

They all taste so good in the winter, you can make Hot Vegetable Soup,or Pot Roast and my favorite of all is Stir-Fry. My wife Marilou is a Filipino and she got the recipe from her Mother in the Philippines, and let me tell you the Filipino Lady's sure know how to cook up the best Stir-Fry that I had ever had. We will share the recipe with you all later.

Well that is it for today, hope to talk to you all tomorrow. Good Gardening Always Ken & Marilou
